What the job involved

This was a full residential renovation, not a single room. The kitchen was rebuilt with a butler's pantry behind it. The master bathroom was created by converting a bedroom, which meant new plumbing, new waterproofing and new electrical from scratch rather than replacing what was there. A second bathroom and the laundry were renovated alongside it, with carpentry and structural work throughout, and the whole house painted at the end.

Because the master bathroom was a bedroom, there was no existing wet area to work from. Every fixture position, every fall in the floor and every waterproofing membrane was set out new. That is the kind of job an open builder licence exists for, and the reason we coordinate every trade ourselves rather than handing pieces of it to separate contractors.

A curved, fluted island with a stone top, white cabinetry, a freestanding cooker and a butler's pantry behind. The island is the piece people notice first; the pantry is the piece that makes the kitchen work day to day.

What was certified

Both wet areas were waterproofed by a licensed applicator and certified. Plumbing and electrical compliance certificates were issued at handover, along with the Queensland Home Warranty cover that applies to every residential job we build. In Queensland that paperwork matters for insurance and for resale, and no builder should hand over a bathroom without it.
