Kitchen renovations Brisbane — built by a builder, not just fitted.

Most kitchen companies stop at the cabinets. Axena Projects is a QBCC open-licensed builder — so if the best version of your kitchen means removing a wall, opening the space to the deck, or rerouting services, that's all in the plan and all in the one fixed price.

The difference a licence makes

Brisbane has excellent cabinet makers — and most kitchen renovations fail not at the cabinets, but at everything around them. Who takes out the wall between the kitchen and dining? Who certifies the new electrical circuits for the induction top and oven stack? Who moves the gas, patches the slab, matches the flooring, and takes responsibility when all of those trades have to land in the right order?

At Axena, the answer to all of it is us. As open-licensed builders we design and deliver the whole room: structural openings with engineered beams where needed, plumbing and electrical relocations with compliance certificates, plastering, flooring, tiling, stone, cabinetry and lighting — sequenced and warranted by one company, priced in one fixed quote.

The kitchens you see here are real Axena projects in real Brisbane and Logan homes — 40mm stone, custom joinery, butler's pantries, and the structural work that turned closed-in 90s kitchens into the heart of the house.

How your kitchen comes together

1. Site visit & design

We measure, look at what's structural, and talk through layout options — island or galley, where the light comes from, whether a wall should go. You get a fixed-price quote with cabinetry, stone and appliance allowances itemised.

2. Selections

Cabinetry finishes, stone, splashback, tapware, appliances — locked in before demolition. Long-lead items are ordered early so the build never sits idle.

3. The build

Typically 2–4 weeks on site depending on structural scope. Demolition, structural work, services rough-in, sheeting, cabinetry installation, stone templating and fit-off, splashback, appliances and detail.

4. Handover

Compliance certificates for electrical and plumbing work, appliance manuals and care guides in one pack, and a kitchen that's ready to cook in that night.

What does a kitchen renovation cost in Brisbane?

As a guide, most complete kitchen renovations in Brisbane land between $25,000 and $60,000+. Like-for-like replacements with existing plumbing kept in place sit at the lower end; kitchens with structural openings, premium stone, integrated appliances and butler's pantries run higher.

Every Axena kitchen is quoted as a fixed price after a site visit, with supply allowances itemised — so you can see exactly what the cabinetry, stone and appliances are costing, and tune selections to hit your number before anything is signed.

Common questions

Can you remove the wall between my kitchen and living area?

In most homes, yes — and it's often the single change that transforms the space. As open-licensed builders we assess whether the wall is load-bearing, arrange engineering where it is, install the beam, and make good the ceiling, walls and floor. It's all included in the fixed price rather than pushed onto you to organise separately.

How long will I be without a kitchen?

Typically 2–4 weeks on site depending on structural scope. We order cabinetry and stone before demolition day so the build runs continuously, and we'll help you set up a temporary kitchen — most families run on the barbecue, air fryer and laundry sink for a couple of weeks.

What's a PC allowance and how do appliance costs work?

Your quote itemises supply allowances for things you select — appliances, tapware, stone. If your chosen oven costs less than the allowance, the difference is credited back to you; if it costs more, you pay only the difference on that item. It keeps the quote fixed while leaving you free to choose.

Do you do the stone and splashback too?

Yes — benchtops are templated and installed by our stone team, and tiled or glass splashbacks, flooring and lighting are all part of the one job. One builder, one schedule, one warranty.

Is your electrical and plumbing work certified?

Always. New circuits, relocated gas and water are done by licensed trades under our coordination, and you receive the compliance certificates at handover — along with any Form 15/16 engineering certification where structural work was involved.

Do you renovate kitchens and bathrooms together?

Often — combining them into one project saves on trades' mobilisation and usually shortens the total disruption compared to doing them a year apart. We'll quote the combination as one fixed price so you can see the saving.

Start with a site visit and a fixed price.

Tell us what you're planning. We'll walk the space with you, talk through options honestly, and quote the whole job — in writing.
