Bathroom renovations Redlands, by a builder with work on the ground here.

Axena Projects has completed renovations in the Redlands, including a full kitchen, two bathrooms and a laundry at Wellington Point. We are based at Cleveland, a short run down the highway, so site visits happen the same week rather than a fortnight later, and you get the same trades and the same builder on every job.

A builder who has done this in your suburb

Plenty of Redlands bathrooms get renovated twice: once quickly, and once properly after the first job fails. The difference is almost always what happened behind the tiles — waterproofing done without certification, plumbing moved without a licence, sheeting straight over water-damaged framing.

Axena bathrooms are run by a QBCC open-licensed builder. We strip the room back to frame, repair what the old bathroom was hiding, and rebuild in the correct sequence with certified waterproofing and licensed plumbing and electrical — with the certificates in your hand at handover. It's the difference between a bathroom that looks new and one that stays new.

Bayside homes bring their own quirks: older wet areas, salt air on fixtures and fittings, and framing that has quietly taken on water. We look for it at the site visit rather than discovering it after demolition.

How your bathroom comes together

1. Site visit & scope

Usually within days. We measure, check what's behind the walls where we can, and give you a fixed-price quote with tile and fixture allowances itemised.

2. Selections

Tiles, vanity, tapware, screens — chosen and locked before demolition so the job never stalls and the budget never drifts.

3. The build

Typically 3–4 weeks on site: demolition, carpentry, rough-ins, certified waterproofing, tiling, fit-off and glass — our trades, our sequence, one accountable builder.

4. Handover

Waterproofing, plumbing and electrical certificates, a walkthrough, and a builder who is a short drive away if you ever need us.

What does a bathroom renovation cost in the Redlands?

Most complete bathroom renovations we build across Redlands land between $20,000 and $45,000 — driven by size, whether fixtures move, and your selections. Keeping the layout and choosing mid-range tiles sits at the lower end; a full ensuite reconfiguration with walk-in shower and floor-to-ceiling tiles runs higher.

Indicative only — you'll get a fixed price after a site visit, with allowances itemised so you control where the money goes.

Common questions

Do you really service my suburb?

If it is in Redland City, yes. Cleveland, Wellington Point, Ormiston, Birkdale, Thorneside, Capalaba, Alexandra Hills, Thornlands, Victoria Point and Redland Bay are all regular territory, and we build across Brisbane's east and the Logan corridor too.

How quickly can you come and quote?

Usually the same week. A site visit is a short drive from Brisbane, where our builder is based rather than a scheduling event — and you'll have the written fixed-price quote shortly after, valid for 30 days.

Is waterproofing really that big a deal?

It's the single most important thing in the room. Queensland requires wet areas to be waterproofed by a licensed applicator and certified — and failed waterproofing is the most common reason bathrooms get renovated twice. Every Axena bathroom includes certified waterproofing, and you get the certificate at handover.

Can you renovate an older Redlands home's bathroom — 70s, 80s, 90s?

That's most of what we do. Older bathrooms often hide surprises — water-damaged framing, out-of-date plumbing, asbestos sheeting in pre-90s homes. We identify what we can at the site visit, handle licensed asbestos removal where needed, and document anything found at demolition with photos and a written price before extra work happens.

Is the quote fixed?

Yes — fixed price after a site visit, with supply allowances itemised. Choose fittings above the allowance and you pay just the difference on the item. Genuine hidden conditions are priced as written variations with photo evidence, never sprung on you at the end.

Who actually does the work?

Axena runs the job with our regular trade team — the same plumbers, waterproofers, tilers and electricians we use week in, week out. One builder is accountable for the lot, and you deal with one person from quote to handover.
